Pros

  • Great design and performance
  • No compatibility issues
  • Low budget

Cons

  • No RGB

Antec has added a new cooler to their AIO Liquid Kuhler series. Antec is a well-recognized brand and quality products seller in the gaming community. They sell different PC components, including cases, coolers, fans, and more. The Antec Kuhler H2O K240 is a 240mm AIO Liquid Cooler that has a simple design, and some nice-looking blue LED lights. There are other variants of this cooler in the Kuhler series that have RGB and differ in size. It’s a low-budget, decently performing and aesthetically pleasing AIO cooler that does the job of cooling your Ryzen 5 3600.

To start off, the K240 radiator is measured at 288x120x27mm (L x W x D). Subsequently, the cooler has 2 PWM fans running at 900-1800 RPM and uses 4-pin connectors. Moreover, the radiator’s overall height and the fans is 57mm. Furthermore, it comes with a pre-applied heatsink, and the liquid flowing tubes are coated with high-quality Teflon material. Additionally, the radiator is made out of aluminum and copper heat pipes. Also, the noise output from the pump is rated less than 37dBA, and it is compatible with all the latest CPU sockets, including the AM4. It has a 140W TDP rating which is enough for the Ryzen 5 3600 rated for 65W.

What We Liked

Antec Kuhler K240 RGB
Antec Kuhler K240 RGB | Photos from Our Review.

Antec has introduced a unique design in Kuhler series where they’ve integrated the pump of the K240 inside the radiator housing. This differs from the traditional block design from other AIOs as it caps the vibration and reduces the cooler’s noise, which is a feature that we can appreciate. To add on, the cooler is also easy to mount and install, and there are no prominent compatibility or clearance issues from our observations with regards to the DIMM. Results from thermal testing also show that the Kuhler K240 is on the same level as it’s other 240mm competitors such as Reeven Naia 240 and Aerocool P7 L240. In short, the overall temperatures at maximum load are less than 60 degrees which is low enough for the Ryzen 5 3600. Similarly, the price of the K240 is also low compared with other products so you’re getting more value for your money.

What We Disliked

Firstly, this variant of the Kuhler series does not include RGB lighting. Instead, we have blue LED lights around the fans, which are underwhelming compared to RGB. You don’t get a fancy-looking CPU block or a pump that can be controlled by your motherboard, which is a bit disappointing, but that is because it’s one of the cheapest coolers you can find right now. Other than that, there’s not much to dislike about the K240.

Who is this for?

Overall, Antec’s Kuhler K240 is one of the best AIO for the price out there. The performance it offers along with the low noise levels, puts it above the rest. From its thermal performance to its price, it is a complete package making it our Best 240mm AIO Liquid Cooler For Ryzen 5 3600. We can’t recommend it enough to pair up with the Ryzen 5 3600.

Deepcool Gammaxx GT

Best RGB CPU Cooler For Ryzen 5 3600

Deepcool Gammaxx GT

Specifications: Type: Single Fan AIO | TDP: 140W | Radiator Size: 120 mm| Lighting: A-RGB | Dimensions: 135 mm x 156 mm x 84.4 mm

Pros

  • CDC technology
  • Great aesthetics
  • Good value

Cons

  • Performance could be better

Deepcool is a dedicated company providing nothing but the best in their lineup of cooling solutions for PCs and Laptops. One of their excellent products which is especially revered for its performance when paired with the Ryzen 5 3600, is the Gammaxx GT. It is a 120mm, single tower build, RGB enabled air cooler. In short, it is an excellent choice and aesthetically pleasing RGB cooler for your Ryzen 5 3600.

To begin with, the dimensions of the GT are 135 x 156 x 84.4mm (L x W x D). It comes with a 120mm PWM fan that is spinning at 500-1800 RPM. It is rated for 140W TDP for AMD and 150W for Intel. The heatsink plating is made of copper material, and there are 4 copper heat pipes. It supports the AM4 socket and the noise output is rated 17.8 -27 dbA. Also, the RGBs can be controlled using headers on a motherboard or a wired controller. The TDP is rated for 140W.

What We Liked

The CDC technology implemented in the Gammaxx GT is a feature we liked very much. This feature helps in heat dissipation by making the copper heat pipes make contact with the CPU surface. Other design features are worth mentioning, too such as the great overall build quality, sublime RGB lighting, and topside cover plating.

Deepcool Gammaxx GT RGB Looks
Deepcool Gammaxx GT RGB | Picture via our Review.

Deepcool also provides a controller for RGB in case your motherboard doesn’t have RGB headers. The RGB looks dazzling and we love how it’s implemented in this. Likewise, the price is good for value and thermal performance is even on par with 2 fan coolers such as the Raijintek Leto Pro RGB. There were also no clearance issues with regards to the RAM due to the block design.

What We Disliked

If you’re not a fan of the RGB and prefer the best performance from the cooler, you might want to look elsewhere since the GT can’t deliver the ultimate overclocking experience. Yes, the temperatures are really good for overclocks compared with the Wraith Stealth stock cooler, but they can’t get lower than the Noctua u14s. Although, with the Noctua, you’re not getting anywhere near the level of aesthetics of the GT and spending almost double the amount in purchase.

Who is this for?

To sum up, the Deepcool Gammaxx GT is one of the best air coolers in the market right now. It’s design and performance are on par with other higher-priced CPU coolers. Simultaneously, the RGB has a striking look to it and is easily controlled with the motherboard headers or the controller provided by Deepcool, which puts this as our Best RGB Cooler For Ryzen 5 3600. It is also one of the best budget coolers around and can easily be paired up with Ryzen 5 3600.

Best Air Cooler For Ryzen 5 3600

Noctua NH U12S

Specifications: Type:  Single Fan AIO | TDP: 180W | Radiator Size: 120mm| Lighting: No RGB | Dimensions: 158 mm x 125 mm x 71 mm

Pros

  • Incredible performance
  • Easily compatible
  • Low noise output

Cons

  • No RGB

Noctua has made a name for itself in the PC components market with their incredible air coolers. Noctua’s main goal as can be observed from their many cooling products is to make the best-performing fans at the lowest noise levels possible. Noctua has launched a new NH U12S CPU Air Cooler, which is up there as one of the best air coolers out there, even surpassing some AIO coolers in performance. With that said, the Noctua NH 12S is the optimal air cooler for cooling the Ryzen 5 3600.

Firstly, the U12S is measuring at 158 x 125 x 71mm (L x W x D) with fans included, so It’s a pretty standard size. The NH U12S comes with a single NF-F12 PWM fan that is spinning at around 300-1800 RPM. There’s also the option to attach a second fan if you want extreme overclocking, but just for gaming, you are good to go with just the one fan. Besides, you have to buy the second fan separately, which adds to your budget. Fans use aluminum, and heat pipes are made out of copper material, as is the standard with most air coolers. TDP is rated for 180W, just like every other 120mm cooler out there.

What We Liked

U tower The U12S’s design is simple, clean, and functional, focusing primarily on performance. Noctua has added a little customizability for us, consumers, by providing different color options for heatsink covers. They have also replaced the old brown fans with the new blacked-out ones, which is a great improvement in the overall aesthetics. Additionally, the NF-F12 fan delivers amazing performance and is extremely quiet, with sounds at just 24dbA at maximum rotation speeds. With that said, the assembly and installation are easy, and there are no clearance issues regarding the RAM. We also picked Noctua NH U12S as Best Value Cooler For i5-12600k.

What We Disliked

Noctua’s air cooling products may deliver the most incredible performance in the market, but they forget about the aesthetics. Although the Noctua NH U12S is one of the better-looking Noctua products it still isn’t as aesthetically pleasing as other companies’ rival products. RGB isn’t available with U12S much like other Noctua products, as their primary goal is performance. With RGB lighting set up on the fans and the block, Noctua could potentially dominate the whole market with their products. But hey, the RGBs is a subjective matter, and in the end, it comes to down to your personal preference.

Who is this for?

Despite a few of its shortcomings, the Noctua NH U12S is an incredible air cooler. The performance it delivers with the extremely low noise output at just 28dbA puts it as our Best Air Cooler For Ryzen 5 3600. With an added fan, you can go all out by overclocking the 3600, although the one fan is pretty good too. If you prefer the performance over the aesthetics, then there’s nothing stopping you from buying this cooler. It’s well priced, reliable, and highly recommended.

What We Liked

One key feature of The Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO is that it can be purchased in a variety of different colors. Arctic has used six different pigments for you to choose from for the body of the cooler. Additionally, the whole installation process for the cooler is really easy and no clearance issues were found. Quality-wise, the Freezer 34 surpasses its Freezer 50 rival in overall build and performance. With performance, the Freezer 34 performs well with the Ryzen 5 3600 with overclocked speeds.

Moreover, the acoustics function fine with 42dbA at maximum rotation speed. The best part though, is the price to value ratio. There are no coolers in the market that can perform at this level with such a low price point.

What We Disliked

In short, the Arctic Freezer 34 doesn’t leave much to be desired considering the price, but the performance could have been better if it didn’t use the small base and actually covered the whole CPU. It doesn’t mean the performance is bad; it’s just decent. The cooler does have a very good build overall, but the aesthetics could’ve been better if it included any sort of RGB. But that’s up to personal preference, so there’s not much to say there.

Who is this for?

Overall, the Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO is worth the investment if you’re looking for a budget cooler that can deliver good performance and low noise output. The value you’re getting for the price is so gripping that we’re putting this as our Best Budget Cooler For Ryzen 5 3600.

Thermaltake TH360 ARGB

Best 360mm AIO Liquid Cooler For Ryzen 5 3600

Thermaltake TH360 ARGB
Thermaltake TH360 ARGB | Credit: Thermaltake

Specifications: Type: Triple Fan AIO | TDP: 400W | Radiator Size: 360mm | Lighting: A-RGB | Dimensions: 395 mm x 120 mm x 52 mm

Pros

  • Excellent performance
  • Great design

Cons

  • A little loud

Thermaltake TH360 ARGB is a new AIO liquid cooler launched from the well-respected Thermaltake brand. It is also our only 360mm cooler for cooling the Ryzen 5 3600 in this list. The TH360 was released as a bigger 360mm variant of other TH series coolers, including the TH120 and TH240.

TH360 is a 360mm cooler measuring 395 x 120 x 52mm. This AIO consists of three 120mm fans with ARGB lights spinning at a maximum of 1500 RPM. It is compatible with any relevant CPU socket up to the AM4. Along with that, the tubes are sleeved with thick material and the water block also comes with RGB and is rated for noise levels of 32dbA. Although the thermal paste isn’t pre-applied, Thermaltake does include some of it inside the box. TDP is rated for 400W and more for 360mm AIOs.

What We Liked

First of all, the water block on the TH360 looks brilliant, and as a whole, the aesthetics are classy. Along with that, the radiator is slightly rounded around the edges, adding to the premium look. Overall, the installation process is standard with no clearance issues with regards to the DIMM, PCIe, I/O, and PC Chassis. Furthermore, the thermal performance is great from the 360mm with very low temperatures. Our benchmark is up there with Corsair 150i Pro RGB 360 and Alphacool Eisbaer 360 in terms of performance. The motherboard headers can control the RGBs but Thermaltake also provides you with a separate RGB controller if your motherboard doesn’t have them. You can read our Motherboard For Ryzen 5 3600 Article to get better information on headers.

What We Disliked

Thermaltake TH360 has a 3 RGB fans along with the RGB on the water block. The RGB on the fans has a slightly desaturated color while spinning, which looks a bit cheap. The noise for the pump is also a bit of an issue. It’s louder than other AIO pumps, which is a slight hindrance but still acceptable. The fan cables are a bit too long, in our opinion, for smaller cases which makes the cable management a little hard.

Who is this for?

The Thermaltake TH360 ARGB is one of the best 360mm AIO Liquid Coolers in the market right now. It is recommended as it delivers the best performance for the price. For those reasons and above, we gave it the title of the Best 360mm AIO CPU Cooler For Ryzen 5 3600.

Corsair H60

Best 120mm AIO Liquid Cooler For Ryzen 5 3600

Corsair H60
Corsair H60 | Credit: Corsair

Specifications: Type: Single Fan AIO | TDP: 135W | Radiator Size: 120 mm | Lighting: No RGB | Dimensions: 157mm x 120mm x 27mm

Pros

  • Effective performance
  • Easy installation
  • Good value

Cons

  • Average performance

Corsair is a renowned brand in the PC peripherals and components market. They’ve made a name for themselves selling premium quality products which include Mice, Keyboards, Headsets, Chairs and much more. Corsair added a new cooler to their Hydro Series in mid 2018 named the Corsair H60. The H60 is a 120mm AIO Liquid Cooler that does a great job cooling your Ryzen 5 3600. It has great quality and a simple design with a low noise output. It is easily one of the best 120mm coolers around.

H60 has a radiator measuring 157mm x 120mm x 27mm (L x W x D). As standard, the radiator is 120mm with 120mm Corsair SP Series PWM fan spinning at 600-1700 RPM. On the other hand, the tubes use rubber material for liquid circulation. Additionally, the pump includes a copper base which comes with pre-applied thermal paste. Interestingly, there isn’t any RGB on the fans or the water block. The fan is rated for noise levels 28.3dbA. There’s support for all the latest AMD and Intel sockets, including the AM4. Lastly, the TDP is rated for 135W for enough cooling of 3600.

What We Liked

Certainly, the best part about the H60 is its simple yet effective design. The whole unit is easy to install with simple modules and an informative user manual. No clearance issues could be found with the RAM, PCIe, and such. In fact, the performance is on par with other more expensive AIO products, including Enermax Liqfusion 240 RGB and Deepcool Captain 240EX. Along with that, the H60 is extremely quiet with just a 28.3dbA noise output rating. Corsair has taken a more innovative approach with the H60 surpassing the H50 in the process with regards to performance and design.

What We Disliked

Though the H60 delivers great performance with the Ryzen 5 3600, it’s really not optimal for extreme overclocking as the temperatures aren’t that great. If Corsair provided us with an extra fan with the radiator, this would easily improve the cooler’s overall thermal capacity, making it optimal for extreme overclocking and idle use.

Who is this for?

It’s certainly one of the best cooling products in the price range offered by Corsair. With decent enough cooling, low noise levels and easy installation, it is the perfect cooling solution for the Ryzen 5 3600. For these reasons and more, we’ve given it the title of the Best 120mm AIO Liquid Cooler For Ryzen 5 3600.

Ryzen 5 3600 Stock Cooler vs Aftermarket

The Ryzen 5 3600 CPU chip comes with AMD’s very own stock cooler. Wraith Stealth is the unit provided by AMD from its Wraith series for cooling Ryzen 5 3600. Unlike Intel, the Wraith Series has a track record of decently performing stock coolers such as the Wraith Prism or Wraith Spire. The Wraith Stealth is behind these two in terms of performance but still a good stock cooler.

The Wraith Stealth Cooler is measured 12.7cm x 11.2cm x 10.2cm (L x W x H). It is a compact and easy-to-install cooler with no clearance or compatibility issues, as is to be expected from a stock cooler. Likewise, the noise output is barely noticeable with just 38dbA. In addition, it comes with a 3.81-inch fan and a decently performing pre-applied heatsink. With that said, the cooler isn’t bad at all for base clocks, but the performance could have been better with cooling the 3600 on heavier loads. In the end, the temperatures on basic use and stock operations are decent – even on light overclocking, the cooler doesn’t perform as required.

Related Reads: Best CPU Cooler For Ryzen 7 3700x

Ryzen 5 3600 has a large room for overclocking and gaining the most out of the CPU. For extreme overclocking, the Wraith Stealth is unfortunately not good enough. Ultimately, the thermal performance just isn’t up to the standard. Aftermarket coolers are definitely necessary in order to gain the maximum performance from your CPU while gaming.

Moreover, the Ryzen 5 3600 requires high-end coolers to keep its temperatures under control, and the Wraith Stealth Stock Cooler can’t provide that kind of performance. This ensures that you will need a high-end aftermarket AIO cooler to help you cool the Ryzen 5 3600. AIO Coolers deliver better thermal performance but aren’t cheap on your wallet. Do consider if you really need extreme overclocking before buying an aftermarket cooler since the Wraith Stealth Cooler does the job for basic use.

Our Criteria For Selecting Best Ryzen 5 3600 CPU Coolers
