The GAMDIAS CHIONE M3-240W is one of the most affordable 240mm AIOs on the market, costing less than some air coolers. The CHIONE M3-240W features an all-white appearance and a brand-new pump design. The CHIONE M3-240W is distinguished by its innovative infinity mirror pump design. The cooler also has two completely addressable ARGB fans with a maximum speed of 2000RPM. When it comes to the radiator, it’s an all-white aluminum radiator with outstanding fin quality; while there are a few flaws here and there, the quality is far superior to the price tag. The infinity mirror pump head has a big copper base plate, allowing it to work with a variety of CPU sockets, including;

When we examine the AIO more closely, we can see the real infinity mirror pump head. It has an extremely polished mirror effect with the GAMDIAS logo on top. There are no plastic parts or anything like that on the entire top. The pump head is round, which is rare, and the finish is spotless, with no cheap or out-of-place parts.

One problem we saw was how dust gets drawn to the top of the pump, resulting in a lot of scratches in a short amount of time. The GAMDIAS logo looks to be a little distorted, which I believe is intentional because the logo appears to be extremely clean when plugged in with the RGBs turned on. There are a variety of RGB effects inside the pump head, ranging from rainbow effects to static colors. We can operate the pump head with a single click thanks to the GAMDIAS AEOLUS control box and the ARGB sync option.

The GAMDIAS CHIONE M3-240W, like every other AIO pump head, comes with a set of Teflon braided tubing. Because of the tight rubber cushioning on top, the Teflon tubing flows from the right side of the pump and appears to be highly secure. Teflon tubing is claimed to be both extremely durable and attractive. The CHIONE M3-240W is a low-maintenance cooler thanks to its leak-free Teflon tubing. The tube is totally rotatable, making the installation process easier.

The top side of the cooler is where we get the output cables, a 4-PWM header for the pump alongside an aRGB 3-pin header. The length of the cables is more than enough to reach any parts of your Motherboard, we wouldn’t say they are very long. When looking at the pump head from an angle we see a clear separation between the top and bottom parts, this adds to the overall aesthetic of the cooler once the RGBs are turned on. The pump head has holes on the top and bottom for 4x screws, which will be needed to connect the CPU bracket during the installation procedure, as the pump head does not come with one. Because the pump head does not arrive with pre-applied thermal paste, we are also given a little package of thermal paste with no branding.

When we examine the radiator more closely, we can see that it is comparable to any high-end 240mm radiator. The fin density is not less dense, nor does the quality feel less premium. The radiator is made entirely of aluminum with a white finish. On the radiator, we have the option of putting two 120mm fans. In terms of quality and size, the radiator also appears to be light.

The radiator is completely white, with no GAMDIAS or CHIONE marking visible on any of its sides, though a barcode sticker can be found on one side. The radiator has a thick fin quality with a few bends here and there, but that is to be expected from any radiator, high or low end. The radiator’s overall appearance is outstanding.

The Teflon tubing is well sealed with rubber sealing, but straight-fit metal caps would have been more secure, but for the price, it’s more than adequate. A fill port may be seen to the right of the Teflon braided tubings. For certain customers who wish to place the radiator at the front, the tubing length may be a little short, especially if they have a larger case.

The radiator’s dimensions are about 277x119x27mm. The radiator may measure 277x119x52mm with the fans installed, which is still smaller than a typical 240mm radiator. Overall, the radiator is neatly completed and properly finished, with no apparent branding on either side, making it quite user-friendly. The Teflon tubing is firmly secured and leak-free thanks to the rubber coating. The tube appears to be strong and does not appear to be light or inexpensive, however, it may be too short for certain people.

Two ARGB 120mm fans are included with the GAMDIAs CHIONE M3-240W. Both fans come in their own plastic package with no sealing. The fans have 7 blades for excellent ventilation and appear to be of top quality. The GAMDIAS trademark and logo are printed in yellow on a black backdrop on the front side of the fan.

The four support arms and ARGB + 4-pin PWM connections are located on the fan’s backside. The fans arrive with the same 3-pin ARGB connector as the pump head.  The CHIONE M3 logo is included on the rear, along with certain power ratings. Installation

Installing the GAMDIAS CHIONE M3-240W, especially for novice users, might be difficult. The ARGB lighting in the Fans is excellent, with even illumination and no bright spots. In addition, we receive a controller in the package to control the RGB effects on the AIO. We can only control a limited amount of static lighting and other RGB effects using the controller.

Testing Methodology

We understand that the GAMDIAS CHIONE M3-240W isn’t a high-end AIO, which is why we’ll just be evaluating it in default CPU settings. The cooler should be able to justify its modest price of roughly 90 dollars.

The AIO will be put to the test on an Intel Core i5-8600K with stock 3.6GHz settings. We’ll put the cooler to the test in two scenarios: one with the CPU at idle and the other with the CPU under full load using the AIDA64 Extreme bench.

Thermal Performance @ Stock 3.6GHz

In an idle situation with an ambient temperature of 34 degrees Celsius, the cooler kept the CPU confined to around 48 degrees, which is a little high compared to other coolers, but affordability is also a key consideration here and we think the temps are good.

The GAMDIAS CHIONE M3-240W was then pushed to its limits with a 100 percent load CPU stress test. The AIDA64 Extreme program was used to stress all six cores of the Intel i5 8600K during the stress test. The CPU reached 78 degrees celsius with full loads with the same ambient temperature of 34 degrees.

We believe the GAMDIAS CHIONE M3-240W performed well within its limitations, while we cannot compare the temperatures to other 240mm coolers that perform substantially better; still, for the price GAMDIAS is offering, the CHIONE M3-240W is unquestionably an AIO that will keep you delighted.

The circular pump head is of high quality and does not have a cheap plastic feel to it. The RGB and PWM pump cables are both long and sufficient for most case scenarios. The instant scratches on the top of the pump head were one of the disadvantages. In terms of installation, we found the tubing to be a touch flimsy because rotation to both sides is limited.

The two 120mm ARGB fans that come with the AIO are amazing, with a maximum RPM of 2000 the fans do speak for themselves. For the finest RGB illumination, the fans come with 7 frosted white blades. We also receive anti-vibration pads, which some larger brands overlook. When working at greater temperatures, the fans feel more solid and quieter. Each fan has a 4-pin PWM and 3-pin RGB connector, with both cables being very long.

The GAMDIAS CHIONE M3-240W comes with a slew of accessories and cables. Though for a better understanding of the installation, the pouches should be labeled and we should be given an installation guide. We also missed out on some more thermal paste, but given the price, we can’t have everything we want.

Overall, the GAMDIAS CHIONE M3-240W is a showstopper, and for about 90 dollars, the AIO is almost a gift for budget consumers. The CHIONE M3-240W sounded too good to be true, with its attractive design and adequate cooling capabilities.
