The DeepCool AS500 Plus features a single tower design with 2 140mm fans which manage to provide sufficient cooling. The heatsink has five nickel-plated 6mm heat pipes connected to it. The CPU cooler itself is slim, being only 48mm wide (without the fans), it provides fantastic RAM clearance. Here is clearance, picture from our DeepCool AS500 Plus Review.

DeepCool AS500 Plus White Cooler Clearence

DeepCool has used their TF 140s model fans for this CPU cooler with a fan speed ranging from 500 to 1200 RPM. The fans deliver an airflow of 70.71 CFM while keeping the noise levels low. The noise output at maximum fan speed reaches 29.2dB(A), which is surprisingly low for an air cooler.  Provided that, the fans are efficient in regulating the air flow of the entire PC, keeping the system relatively cool with low noise.

On the other hand, the installation is also straightforward for the most part. The DeepCool AS500 Plus also supports a wide range of Intel and AMD sockets, so compatibility with CPUs should not be an issue. The DeepCool AS500 Plus has a TDP of 220W which should be sufficient for handling higher-end 16 core CPUs such as the Ryzen 9 5950x. Here are DeepCool AS500 Benchmarks and comparison to other CPU Coolers.

What We Liked:

Notably, the DeepCool AS500 Plus provides excellent cooling while being cheaper than some of its rivals. As an air cooler, it manages to perform exceptionally well, and with a TDP of 220W, it is capable of handling some 16 core CPUs. Despite being an air cooler, the DeepCool AS500 managed to keep the noise levels below 29.2dB(A) during testing, which is great for a budget-friendly cooler like this one. The best thing about this DeepCool AS500 is the ram clearance. You won’t have to worry about the heatsink covering the ram or the PCIe slot.

What We Disliked

While the DeepCool AS500 Plus is relatively slim, it is pretty tall, standing at 164mm tall. This can be a problem for people working with small cases. You will have to check if your White PC case can fit a CPU cooler of this size. The DeepCool AS500 does not have any RGB lighting, and its design does not stand out from the rest of the coolers in the market, but this is something you should expect from a CPU cooler at this price. If you to want know difference between the normal DeepCool AS500, make sure to read our DeepCool AS500 Review, which is not the plus version.

Verdict

The DeepCool AS500 Plus is not only relatively smaller and cheaper than some of its competitors, but it manages to hold its own against most air coolers currently available. The DeepCool AS500 is a capable cooler for the price, offering excellent aesthetics and RGB. In some cases, the DeepCool AS500 even manages to outclass some 240mm AIO liquid coolers while being cheaper and quieter at the same time. Furthermore, it is also capable of handling overclocking without any issues. With that being said, we can definitely recommend the DeepCool AS500 Plus as theRunner-Up For Best White Air CPU Cooler.

The next CPU cooler on the list is the NZXT Kraken Z53 RGB 240mm. NZXT is well known for their premium high-end liquid AIO coolers that provide great cooling solutions with breathtaking designs. The NZXT Kraken Z53 RGB 240mm is no exception to this. The all-white NZXT Kraken Z53 is the Runner-Up For Best white 240mm AIO Liquid CPU Cooler.

Unlike other variants of this cooler, NZXT Kraken cooler has a lot in common in terms of design with the previous generation of the Kraken coolers; however, the pump and the pump cover have been completely updated.

Alongside that, the water block is made out of Copper with a diameter of 79mm and a height of 52mm. The block consists of the latest 7th generation pump, which further reduces the noise and increases the cooling performance. The motor has a speed ranging from 800 to 2800 RPM.

The 240mm radiator made out of aluminum is capable of cooling even the best processors currently available. The tube has a length of 400mm, and it comes with a Nylon braided sleeve.

Furthermore, the cap on the pump block made out of aluminum and plastic is rotatable which means you won’t have to worry about installing it covering the RAM.

NZXT has used their Aer RGB fans; both of them are 120 by 120 by 26mm with a speed ranging from 500 to 1500 RPM. They provide an airflow of 17.48 – 52.44 CFM and an air pressure of 0.14-1.35mm. At maximum speed, the fans reach a noise level of 33 dBA, which is fine considering the amount of performance the cooler provides.

How can we proceed without mentioning and admiring the beauty of this liquid cooler’s LCD. The NZXT Cam software allows you to fully customize the included LCD, giving you the ability to view the real-time temperature of the CPU. This LCD also allows you to add any GIF of your choice to the screen, making it more personal and unique than other coolers.

While the LCD display is unnecessary and does not add anything to the overall cooling performance, it is still a nice inclusion, giving users the ability to personalize their build completely. The white theme of the CPU cooler makes the LCD screen look even better than before.

What We Liked

There is a lot to like about the NZXT Kraken Z53 RGB 240mm. From the beautiful aesthetics to the outstanding cooling performance, it does everything you expect from a CPU cooler. However, the LCD is the star of the show, since it adds a lot more personalization to your build than any regular AIO liquid cooler. The software is also highly responsive when it comes to customizing the screen.

What We Disliked

While being the cheapest Z-class AIO cooler, the NZXT NZXT Kraken Z53 is by no means a cheap CPU cooler. With a hefty price tag of $250 US dollars. There is no lack of affordable AIO liquid coolers in the market, making the NZXT Kraken Z53 RGB an expensive choice for the average PC user.

Pros

  • Low Noise

Cons

  • Expensive
  • No LCD Display

If you are in the market for a 360mm AIO Liquid that not only looks impressive, but delivers solid gaming performance, the ASUS ROG STRIX LC 360 RGB White Edition is the way to go. The ROG STRIX LC 360 LC series sits right between the TUF Gaming coolers and ASUS’s RYUJIN II series of coolers.

The ASUS ROG STRIX LC 360 RGB White Edition is an AIO liquid cooler from ASUS with a closed-loop design that comes with ARGB fans, as the name suggests. The pump used here is Asetek’s 7th generation pump that comes with a custom pump cap.

Strikingly, ASUS ROG STRIX LC 360 RGB has a pump speed of 2800 RPM, controlled using the PWM. The radiator has three fan slots for 3 120mm ARGB fans. The fans start operating at a speed of 840 RPM but can go up to an absurd speed of about 2500 RPM, which is a bit higher than most AIO liquid coolers. Moreover, the operating sound for the fans is 37.6 dB(A) when functioning at average speed. The fans have a static pressure of around 5.0mm, and an airflow of 80.95CFM.

The fan RGB can be connected using the 3 pin 5v ARGB headers, which makes the RGB controllable using the motherboard or RGB hubs. However, the pump’s RGB can only be controlled using either ASUS’s software or USB. There is no way of controlling the Pump’s RGB using the extended 4 pin connector.

The radiator is made out of aluminum, and it comes with sleeved rubber tubes as usual. The tube has a length of 380mm, and the radiator itself is 121mm wide. What stands out is the cap on the pump block, which has a thick white outline with the ASUS logo shining with RGB under a glossy black cap. RGB is also visible on four of the places around the boundary of the cap which almost revolve around the base of the whole cap, giving it a more unique look.

Similar to other high-end coolers, The ASUS ROG STRIX LC 360 RGB White Edition can also be controlled using the Aura Sync software like all other ASUS components. You can use the software to manage the RGB and sync it with other components.

What We Disliked

This cooler is a whole package. The incredible cooling performance and the premium build quality are the things that stand out the most.

ASUS has used premium materials for the cooler that feels solid. The 7th generation Asetek pump delivers phenomenal performance.

Being a remarkable brand, ASUS also offers 6 years of warranty with this CPU cooler. The ASUS ROG STRIX LC 360 does everything right in a somewhat reasonable price range.

What We Disliked

The fans tend to get extremely noisy when operating at maximum fan speed. It’s better to use the fans at around 60 to 70 percent of their actual speed to keep the noise levels as low as possible while maintaining decent cooling performance. The ROG STRIX LC 360 is a fairly expensive CPU cooler, and rightfully so; however, for this price, one would expect it to have as many features as its competitors.

Verdict

To sum up, the ASUS ROG STRIX LC 360 RGB should have no problem cooling the Ryzen 9 5000 series CPUs. It’s even capable of cooling Intel’s latest 12th generation Alder Lake CPUs; however, it might get noisy. ASUS has again done a brilliant job of putting together an excellent AIO cooler for high-end processors. The ASUS ROG STRIX LC 360 RGB has taken the spot as the Runner-Up For Best White 360mm AIO Liquid Cooler.

Cons

Arctic is well known for their excellent premium AIO and air coolers; This time they have surprised us with an all-white air cooler that performs well and costs surprisingly less. The Arctic Freezer 34 eSports White is one of the cheapest CPU coolers, making it the Runner-Up For Best Budget White CPU Cooler.

The heat sink uses 54 aluminum fins, with a thickness of 0.4mm. The Arctic Freezer 34 consists of 4 copper heat pipes connected to the CPU base plate. These heat pipes have an outer diameter of 6mm. Unlike the Duo variant of the cooler, the Freezer 34 only has one fan, although mounts for a second fan are present, making it easier to install one if you need the additional cooling.

Furthermore, the cooler is 88mm wide and stands at a height of 157mm, and its compact size allows it to fit in pretty much any case you put it in. The fans are unbelievably silent, producing a noise output of 28dBA at maximum fan speed.

The Arctic Freezer 34 includes the new BioniX P fans with an extended RPM range from 200 to 2100 RPM. These new fans have a lower power consumption and an overall higher static pressure of 2.75 mm H2O for better cooling performance.

Additionally, Arctic is also selling LGA1700 mounting kits for the Arctic Freezer 34, making it compatible with Intel’s new Alder Lake 12th generation processors. The CPU cooler should have no problems handling the new 12th generation i7, i5, and i3 series processors. The CPU cooler also comes with Arctic’s MX-4 thermal paste, which works perfectly fine and delivers optimal cooling performance.

To my surprise, the Arctic Freezer 34 comes with a stupendous 10 year warranty, which is almost unheard of from modern CPU coolers. This shows how confident Arctic is with the design of their cooler.

What We Liked

Due to the Arctic Freezer 34’s compact size and 120mm fans, it provides amazing RAM and PCIe clearance allowing it to work RAM modules with large heatsinks too. The Arctic Freezer 34’s superior heat sink design provides good heat dissipation overall. Main selling point of the Arctic Freezer 34 is its price, coming in at an astounding 38 US dollars, the Arctic Freezer 34 provides great value, beating almost every air cooler in this price range.

What We Disliked

There isn’t much to complain about regarding the Arctic Freezer 34. One thing to note here is that the Freezer 34 has no RGB at all. While the white design looks stunning, we would have appreciated the inclusion of RGB. This economical cooler is not compatible with a lot of processors either. In terms of the design, The Arctic Freezer 34 has a simple single fan design with no fancy lighting whatsoever. While the CPU cooler by no means looks bad, the plastic finish around it makes it look cheap compared to other air coolers.

Verdict

Ultimately, the Arctic Freezer 34 offers good cooling for its small size and budget-friendly pricing. If you’re in the market for a White CPU Cooler that provides good cooling at a much lower price, then the Freezer 34 is a perfect pick for you. The Arctic Freezer 34 is ideal for budget builds.

How We Chose The Best White CPU Coolers

When buying a CPU cooler for your processor, we need to make sure it fits your taste. Meeting every requirement is essential for the CPU cooler as it becomes a viable option for you to purchase. Here are some things we took into account when choosing the best White CPU Cooler.

Type

CPU coolers come in many different types, the most common of these types being air coolers and AIO liquid coolers. If you are looking for a cheap CPU cooler to replace the stock cooler, then air coolers are probably your best bet. However, if you are looking for something with the highest cooling potential, then liquid coolers are the way to go.

Size

When buying a good cooler for your CPU, you need to make sure it provides enough RAM and PCIe clearance. High-end RAM kits tend to get extremely warm when paired with huge coolers because they are not given enough space. A slimmer cooler provides enough room for the RAM to ‘breath’ since it improves the airflow, lowering the overall temperatures.

Budget

The most important factor and probably the first thing that comes to mind when you think of purchasing a cooler is the budget. Choosing a budget can be difficult given the vast amount of options. Air coolers may perform slightly less than the AIO liquid coolers but they are generally less expensive than AIO liquid coolers, providing better value for your money. If you do not mind spending more on a cooler, AIOs liquid coolers are always a better option.

Efficiency

A cooler’s efficiency is mostly identified from the TDP; however, companies like Noctua have their very own measure for their cooler’s efficiency. The rated TDP of your cooler must exceed your CPU’s TDP, that too by a significant margin.

Noise

Although getting a CPU cooler with more fans will increase the cooling performance, it also comes with a huge increase in noise levels. If that is a problem for you, you are better off getting a low-profile cooler with minimum noise levels.

Compatibility

You need to ensure that the CPU cooler you end up going with, supports your processor, otherwise it will just end up not fitting at all. A single cooler comes with different mounting brackets for different sockets. If your CPU socket is mentioned in the list of supported sockets then you should be good to go.

Benefits of White CPU Cooler

The availability of white CPU coolers is very scarce and it is always delightful to peer through a PC’s tempered glass that showcases a white CPU cooler. Even though, black coolers look decent, they are very common nowadays. It is easy to stand out from the crowd of black-themed cooler users by acquiring its complete opposite, a white one.

An all-white PC setup is glorified by the white CPU cooler as it is typically the first thing our eyes look at. Whether it is due to the enormous size of the DeepCool AS500 and its RGB or the NZXT Kraken Z53’s LCD with white borders, white CPU coolers draw attention to the heart of a PC, the processor.

All the other colors are not available unless one chooses to customize a cooler by himself. It is quite easier to paint the white cooler into other colors such as light pink because white is a light color and absorbs the paint and makes the pink lighter. Similarly, other lighter color combinations of color, like cyan and yellow, are also made possible, all thanks to our white CPU cooler.

Drawbacks of White CPU Cooler

Alongside the benefits, it does come with a few drawbacks. Due to the cooler’s color being white, it can get dull over a lengthy period of time. The pump cover as well as the white nylon braided sleeves may appear off-white, losing its true white appearance which might be a downside to a lot of users.

Additionally, it may get scratches if on its edges and on the pump cover itself, giving it an older and cheaper look. Moreover, the LCD on the NZXT Kraken Z53 and the glossy pump cover of the ASUS ROG Strix LC 360 can get smudges, which destroys the glorious appeal of the otherwise reflective cover.

Finally, pairing an elegant white CPU cooler with a black-themed PC setup is a perfect recipe for ruining an otherwise heavenly build. There is a slim chance the setup looks decent, but more probably it won’t. Still, a white CPU cooler requires several other white accessories along with it, which proves to be a major downside. For instance, if someone is on a tight budget and has acquired an affordable White CPU Cooler (ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports White) at a discount while he already owns a black-themed PC, he has no other option but to install it.

Competition

If all of the previously mentioned CPU coolers were not what you are looking for, here are some other competitive coolers worth checking out.
