The biggest contributor to the G305’s 99g weight is its non-rechargeable battery. Yep, it uses a AA battery that lasts up to 250 hours. The mouse is not ambidextrous, so left-handed people can’t enjoy it, but the righties will enjoy the smooth performance, just like I did.

A huge show-stopper feature of the ROCCAT Kone AIMO Remastered is its 23-button functions. The mouse features 12 reprogrammable buttons. However, there is an Easy-Shift[+] button at the button, which serves as a shift key on your keyboard. By pressing this button, you can unlock the secondary functions of every button. Therefore, this allows you to store 23 unique button functions on your mouse. 

Keeping in mind the 12 buttons, the large surface area of the click, and the overall design, the Kone AIMO Remastered has one downside, and that is its weight. The mouse weighs a solid 130g, which is one of the highest I have tested. I could definitely feel the heavy weight as I moved the mouse, which felt extra uncomfortable to me as I am used to lightweight mice. It would definitely take a while to get used to the heavyweight, but it shouldn’t be a deal breaker.

For connectivity, the mouse uses a 1.8m braided USB cable. As such, you get a 1000Hz polling rate with a 1ms response time. The polling rate is adjustable and can be switched between 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, and 1000Hz. I found the braided cable to be a bit stiff, and it would have been better if it had more flexibility. 

Focusing on the looks, the Kone AIMO Remastered can easily be nominated for the best-looking RGB mouse. It features five-zone RGB, and the placement and overall feel is just beautiful. As for the ergonomics, the mouse works best with a palm grip, regardless of your hand size. You can also use it with a claw and fingertip grip, but it will be uncomfortable if you have small hands. You can use the ROCCAT Swarm software to display different RGB effects, save memory profiles, reprogram buttons, and change DPI and/or polling rate.

What We Liked

Omron Switches and Large Click Area: The main reason why I picked this mouse for this category is the combination of Omron switches and large click area, and that’s also what I love the most about it.

There is not a single issue I faced in that department. The mouse uses 100% pure PTFE feet, so it also glides across the mousepad smoothly.

Another impressive aspect of the Viper V2 Pro is its low weight of just 58g. It is insane to see so much performance packed into such a lightweight mouse. Razer did not even go for the honeycomb design to achieve this number. The mouse has a solid build quality, and it fits into your hand firmly. Regardless of the type of mouse grip, any hand size can comfortably use this mouse.

Coming towards the visual appeal, the overall looks are very basic, with no RGB.
