Connection: Wireless | Sensor: Razer Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor | Switches: Razer Optical Switches Gen 3 | Weight: 58g | Programmable Buttons: 5 | Max DPI: 30,000 | Ambidexterous: Yes | Battery Life: 80 hours | Lighting: None

Pros

  • Superb 30K DPI sensor
  • High resolution
  • Wireless connectivity
  • Extremely lightweight

Cons

  • High price
  • No RGB Lighting

Razer is one of the most prestigious and popular gaming mice brands out there, and it continues to instigate innovation and bring forth excellent new products. The Razer Viper V2 Pro Hyperspeed Wireless gaming mouse is a continuation of the same trend, and it is one of the best modern gaming mice, according to my testing. The Viper V2 Pro is specifically an outstanding choice for Minecraft’s PvP mode, thanks to its versatile features.

The Razer Viper V2 Pro elevates itself above the crowd thanks to its superb sensor and unique switches. Razer is using the new Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor in this mouse, which gives an unprecedented sensitivity range of up to 30,000 DPI. You can also configure the DPI and allot 5 DPI stages without using any software. Moreover, the maximum speed of 750 IPS with a maximum acceleration of 70g gives it a noticeable advantage over competitors in high-sensitivity gaming scenarios.

We all know the importance of having a high and reliable CPS (click-per-second) in Minecraft PvP. The Razer Viper V2 Pro is excellent for that application, as it allows you to raise your CPS reliably and consistently, no matter which clicking technique you employ. This is possible thanks to the new and improved Razer Gen 3 optical switches, which provide feedback similar to the mechanical ones without the possibility of double-clicking. Moreover, the Viper V2 Pro weighs just 58g which is a superb figure for a modern gaming mouse.

The Viper V2 Pro is ultra-reliable if you use a normal or jitter-clicking technique. The surface coating of the Viper V2 Pro provides acceptable grip levels on its own, but you can always apply the provided grip tape for an added boost to the grip. Moreover, the Viper V2 Pro comes with 100% PTFE mouse feet that provide an extremely smooth glide across most surfaces. Adding even more functionality are the five programmable buttons, which can be configured using Razer’s software program.

For connectivity, Razer has provided the users with a choice of options. You can use the provided HyperPolling Wireless dongle to activate the “HyperSpeed” mode. The Viper V2 Pro can achieve a maximum polling rate of 4000Hz with this dongle which is very impressive, but you can also turn it down to 1000Hz to extend battery life. Speaking of which, the battery life is rated at 80 hours at a 1000Hz polling rate, but it falls to around 24 hours with a 4000Hz polling rate. Nevertheless, the battery timing of this mouse is exceptional, and you can also connect it via USB-C to use the wired mode.

Razer has made a few compromises here and there to achieve the exceptionally low weight of the mouse, but none that impact build quality in a significant way. Sure, the mouse does not come with a dock, side grips, or any RGB lighting, but these corners were cut in favor of a more functional approach. The versatility of the Viper V2 Pro is especially noteworthy, as this mouse was also crowned the best fingertip grip mouse. Even though the Viper V2 Pro lacks a splash of color, the overall design is quite appealing, and the build quality remains exceptional.

Connection: Wireless | Sensor: HERO 25K Optical Sensor | Switches: Omron Switches | Weight: 63g | Programmable Buttons: 5 | Max DPI: 25,600 | Ambidexterous: Yes | Battery Life: 70 hours | Lighting: None

Pros

  • Very lightweight
  • Impressive sensor performance
  • Long battery life
  • Low-latency wireless connection

Cons

  • Quite pricey
  • No USB-C port

The Logitech G Pro X SUPERLIGHT is widely considered the gold standard for wireless gaming mice. It is one of the most prestigious and versatile mice on the market right now and has garnered a dedicated following among enthusiasts. Of course, the Logitech G Pro X SUPERLIGHT is also one of the most competent mice for Minecraft, thanks to its superb gaming performance and versatile features.

The extraordinary Hero 25K optical sensor is headlining the features list, which is at the heart of the G Pro X SUPERLIGHT. With a maximum DPI of 25,600, a maximum tracking speed of 400 IPS, and a max acceleration of 40g, the G Pro X SUPERLIGHT is one of the most reliable and dependable gaming mice in high-sensitivity gaming applications like Minecraft. Moreover, the neutral design and lightweight nature of the Logitech G Pro X SUPERLIGHT make it a great fit for a wide variety of gamers with different mouse grip styles and preferred clicking techniques.

Logitech uses Omron switches in the G Pro X SUPERLIGHT, which are rated at 20 million clicks. These switches are extremely reliable and excellent for a variety of clicking techniques. In addition to normal and jitter clicking, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight is also one of the best mice for drag clicking since it has a matte-finished surface that is great for that application. With these techniques, you can achieve a high CPS in Minecraft reliably and have a distinct advantage over your opponent.

On the subject of features, the G Pro X SUPERLIGHT stays true to its name since it weighs only 60 grams. Moreover, the mouse features five programmable buttons, and the onboard memory can hold five mouse profiles at any given time. The G Pro X SUPERLIGHT is rated for a battery life of 70 hours, which is quite remarkable for a modern gaming mouse in this category. The mouse also features high-quality PTFE feet, which provide a seamless gliding experience, thus rounding out the feature set.

Of course, the G Pro X SUPERLIGHT offers wireless connectivity with Logitech’s LightSpeed Wireless technology. The latency is rated at just one millisecond, and the polling rate is a respectable 1000Hz, making this connection very compelling for competitive gaming. You can also use the mouse in wired mode, but you will have to use a micro-USB connector since the G Pro X SUPERLIGHT does not support USB-C.

The build quality of the Logitech G Pro X SUPERLIGHT is top-notch, and the body shows no signs of any oversight in structural integrity. The G Pro X SUPERLIGHT is also the best claw grip gaming mouse, which points towards its versatile nature. There is a sense of minimalism in the design, which is apparent in the lack of RGB lighting as well. You can, however, get the G Pro X SUPERLIGHT in four colors, including black, white, red, and pink. This somewhat compensates for the lack of RGB lighting as it adds a different facet of personalization to the mouse.

Best Drag Clicking Mouse For Minecraft - ROCCAT Kone AIMO Remastered
ROCCAT Kone AIMO Remastered

Connection: Wired | Sensor: ROCCAT Owl Eye Optical Sensor | Switches: Omron Switches | Weight: 130g | Programmable Buttons: 12 | Max DPI: 16,000 | Ambidexterous: No | Battery Life: N/A | Lighting: RGB

Pros

  • Drag-clicking specialist
  • Comfortable grip and shape
  • Nice RGB lighting
  • Competent sensor

Cons

  • Heavy
  • Large size

ROCCAT is renowned for producing highly impressive mice that are very popular among competitive gamers. They offer exceptional build quality and incorporate smart design elements, making their extensive range of mice a great fit for a variety of gamers. The latest addition to ROCCAT’s renowned AIMO series, the ROCCAT AIMO Remastered, lives up to this reputation.

The ROCCAT Kone AIMO Remastered carries forth much of the same design philosophy as its predecessor. In fact, apart from a few minor upgrades, both are essentially cut from the same cloth. The significant improvement lies in its Owl-Eye sensor, which provides users with an extended range of sensitivity and reliability thanks to its upper range of 16000 DPI. The sensor performs remarkably well in high-sensitivity scenarios, and the tracking is very dependable, especially in games like Minecraft.

Apart from the extraordinary sensor, the ROCCAT Kone AIMO Remastered is a well-equipped mouse loaded with features that make it ideal for drag-clicking. One of the key features of the Kone AIMO Remastered is incorporated in its design, which is the enhanced coating on the body of the mouse which improves its grip and makes it a great choice for drag-clicking. Moreover, the Kone AIMO has easily accessible buttons on both sides and, although it is a right-handed mouse, has quite an ergonomic and comfortable design.

The ROCCAT Kone AIMO Remastered feels incredibly comfortable in your hands owing to its scooped-out thumb rest and well-placed grooves. Due to its larger size, it is also one of the best mice for palm grip. The increased surface area, along with the accompanying PTFE pads, further enhances the mouse’s tactile experience. Combined with its user-friendly drag-clicking functionality, it is a reliable choice for Minecraft players who use drag-clicking to quickly build structures (like bridges) in Minecraft with a high CPS.

Even though the mouse is not particularly light at 130g, it still handles very well in hand thanks to its comfortable ergonomics. Furthermore, the RGB lighting arrangement on the ROCCAT Kone AIMO Remastered is particularly impressive. It features two stripes that run along each side of the mouse, with additional lighting covering the areas beside them. The scroll wheel also features a smaller yet equally captivating RGB light. Even though aesthetics are subjective, the Kone AIMO does a pretty good job of distinguishing itself in this department.

Additionally, there are 12 programmable buttons which is a ridiculous number for any gaming mouse. Moreover, you can add two functions to each button with the Easy Shift feature, further extending the functionality of the added buttons. ROCCAT is using mechanical Omron switches in the clicks of the Kone AIMO Remastered, and that is a positive aspect. These switches produce an audible sound with each press and have a low debounce time which allows the possibility of drag-clicking in games.

What We Liked

Drag clicking: Thanks to the low debounce time of the switches and its grip coating, the Kone AIMO Remastered is a specialist at drag-clicking. This technique is very helpful in certain games like Minecraft.

Comfortable: The large body and ergonomic design of the Kone AIMO make it a very comfortable mouse, even for prolonged usage.

What We Disliked

Weight: The Kone AIMO is a large and heavy mouse, tipping the scales at 130g. However, the mouse still handles deceptively well due to its well-designed body.

If drag-clicking is your preferred method of interacting with the game, then there is no better mouse for you than the ROCCAT Kone AIMO Remastered.

GLORIOUS Model D

Best Mouse For Double Clicking Minecraft

Best Mouse For Double Clicking Minecraft - GLORIOUS Model D
GLORIOUS Model D

Connection: Wired | Sensor: Pixart PMW-3360 Optical Sensor | Switches: Omron Switches | Weight: 69g | Programmable Buttons: 6 | Max DPI: 12,000 | Ambidexterous: No | Battery Life: N/A | Lighting: RGB

Pros

  • Lightweight body
  • Unique honeycomb design
  • Versatile clicking methods
  • Neat aesthetics

Cons

  • Prone to dust
  • No onboard memory

GLORIOUS has brought forward some innovative models over the years, and the GLORIOUS Model D is certainly one of their best offerings. This lightweight and ergonomic gaming mouse prioritizes performance and comfort, which is evident in its unique design and excellent specs. Thanks to its versatility, the GLORIOUS Model D is also a great mouse for double-clicking, making it a very useful tool in Minecraft.

Players can benefit greatly from the double-clicking or butterfly-clicking technique, which greatly increases their CPS (clicks per second) and allows them to build structures or gather resources faster. The Model D is an excellent candidate for double-clicking due to the low debounce time of its switches. The Omron mechanical switches in the Model D are rated for 20 million clicks and provide a satisfying tactile feel when they are activated. You can even configure the debounce time of Model D in the GLORIOUS software.

Moreover, the Model D is also packing a very respectable Pixart PMW-3360 optical sensor under the hood. With a maximum sensitivity rating of 12,000 DPI, a maximum speed of 250 IPS, and a maximum acceleration of 50g, the Model D is primed and ready to handle any competitive gaming scenario with reliable and dependable input every single time. The mouse also boasts a dedicated DPI button which allows you to switch between various DPI settings on the fly.

GLORIOUS has added other features to the Model D to make it even better for gaming. The respectable 1000Hz polling rate results in a low latency of just 1 ms, making it a great choice for FPS shooters as well. There are six programmable buttons on Model D, which are conveniently placed and can be configured to activate any desirable action. However, I would have liked to see onboard memory support on this mouse, as this is becoming a rather common feature in modern gaming mice.

One can easily spot a GLORIOUS mouse thanks to its unique design language, and that is for a good reason. The honeycomb design pattern is not just for looks as it serves the crucial purpose of weight saving. As a result, the GLORIOUS Model D weighs just 69g and delivers a fantastic feel in hand. Even though it is not ambidextrous (you should check out the Model O for that), the GLORIOUS Model D is one of the most comfortable mice out there. The G-Skates Premium mouse feet are another great addition to this mouse as they allow the Model D to glide seamlessly over most surfaces.

Despite the honeycomb design, the GLORIOUS Model D does not lose its structural rigidity. The build quality is top-notch, even though I occasionally detected a slight wobble in some of the buttons. Speaking of design, the RGB lighting is particularly impressive and elevates the look of the mouse. Some may find the GLORIOUS branding a bit over-the-top, but that is a totally subjective opinion at the end of the day. The white variant of the GLORIOUS Model D is also one of the best white gaming mice.

What We Liked

GLORIOUS Model D
GLORIOUS Model D (Image by Tech4Gamers)

Lightweight: Due to its unique honeycomb design pattern, the Model D is one of the lightest gaming mice on the market.

Versatile: The Model D can be a great fit for a wide range of gamers with different grip styles, clicking methods, and preferred games.

What We Disliked

Dust prone: The honeycomb pattern makes it prone to dust accumulation, and it can be rather tricky to clean.

Who Is It For?

The GLORIOUS Model D is a great fit for gamers who want a lightweight, high-performance mouse or those who prefer double-clicking or butterfly-clicking in their games of choice.

What Makes It The Best Mouse For Double Clicking Minecraft?

The GLORIOUS Model D is equipped with a great Pixart optical sensor and reliable mechanical Omron switches with very low debounce time, making it the best mouse for double clicking Minecraft.

HyperX Pulsefire Haste

Best Budget Mouse For Minecraft

Best Budget Mouse For Minecraft - HyperX Pulsefire Haste
HyperX Pulsefire Haste

Connection: Wired | Sensor: Pixart PAW-3335 Optical Sensor | Switches: TTC Golden Micro Switches | Weight: 60g | Programmable Buttons: 6 | Max DPI: 16,000 | Ambidexterous: Yes | Battery Life: N/A | Lighting: RGB

Pros

  • Very affordable
  • Durable click switches
  • Plenty of programmable buttons
  • Lightweight body

Cons

  • Dust prone
  • Plain looks

Not everyone wants to spend all their savings on a new Minecraft computer mouse, and that’s perfectly fine. There are plenty of great options on the budget end of the market too, and the HyperX Pulsefire Haste is one of the very best. In my testing, the Pulsefire Haste goes toe-to-toe with much more expensive gaming mice at a fraction of the price, making it the value champion of gaming mice for Minecraft.

My recommended variant of the Pulsefire Haste is a wired version due to its lower cost, but it also comes with a wireless variant that uses 2.4 GHz connectivity. You can take your pick depending on your personal preference, but the wired version definitely delivers better value for the money. The Pulsefire Haste is one of the very best budget mice for Minecraft, thanks to its impressive Pixart PAW3335 sensor and unique mechanical switches.

The PAW3335 is a great sensor from Pixart that delivers respectable sensitivity with a range of up to 16,000 DPI. The Pulsefire Haste supports a maximum speed of 450 IPS with a maximum acceleration of 40g, making it a great choice for a wide variety of sensitivity-dependent games, including Minecraft. You can adjust the sensitivity with small increments of 50 DPI, allowing the user fine control to perfectly match their needs.

One of the finest features of the HyperX Pulsefire Haste is its switch configuration. HyperX has used TTC Golden Micro Dustproof switches which are very reliable and provide a good feel to the click in the Pulsefire Haste. These switches are rated at around 80 million clicks worth of lifespan, which is ideal for a game like Minecraft, in which the click count is rather high. The switches also allow the user to employ techniques like jitter clicking, butterfly clicking, triple clicking, and even drag clicking if they apply the provided grip tape.

The Pulsefire Haste also offers a dedicated DPI switch and six programmable buttons, which are conveniently located for the best ergonomics. The mouse also has onboard memory, which can store one mouse profile at any given time. The Pulsefire Haste is truly ambidextrous, which is also a great bonus in terms of usability and versatility. The mouse shape is comfortable and familiar for both right and left-handed users, and it is convenient for different grip styles as well. It is also one of the best gaming mice for big hands.

HyperX has taken a page out of GLORIOUS’s book and utilized a honeycomb pattern to save weight on the Pulsefire Haste. The result is a very lightweight gaming mouse, tipping the scales at just 60 grams. Despite the holes in the chassis, the body of the mouse retains its structural integrity, and the build quality is impressive. I would have liked to see a bit more RGB lighting on the body since the current implementation is only limited to the scroll wheel. Alas, the honeycomb pattern also raises the age-old issue of dust accumulation, which can be a bit of a tricky challenge to deal with.

What We Liked

HyperX Pulsefire Haste
HyperX Pulsefire Haste

Value: The Pulsefire Haste is quite affordable while having excellent performance, making it a great value for the money.

Lightweight: At just 60 grams, the Pulsefire Haste is among the lightest wired gaming mice on the market.

What We Disliked

Dust prone: It is fairly minor, but the honeycomb pattern makes it a difficult mouse to keep clean.

Plain looks: A bit of RGB lighting on the body could have elevated the design of this mouse, in my opinion.

Who Is It For?

If you are looking for a budget gaming mouse for Minecraft, then look no further than the HyperX Pulsefire Haste.

What Makes It The Best Budget Mouse For Minecraft?

The HyperX Pulsefire Haste is the best budget mouse for Minecraft thanks to its impressive sensor performance, reliable TTC Golden switches, affordable price, and lightweight 60g body.

Important Mouse Key Terms

Here are some useful mouse key terms that you should be familiar with if you want to shop for a mouse in 2023.

  • DPI: Dots per Inch, or DPI, is a measure of the overall sensitivity of the mouse and is often configurable.
  • CPI: Counts Per Inch (CPI), which is also referred to as CPI, serves as an alternative terminology to describe DPI.
  • PTFE: PTFE is a specialized material employed in the feet of modern mice, offering advantages such as decreased friction resistance and improved gliding capabilities. These properties make it an optimal selection for mouse feet.
  • IPS: IPS, short for Inches Per Second, is a metric employed to gauge the highest achievable tracking speed of your mouse.
  • Maximum Acceleration: Mouse acceleration pertains to a mouse’s maximum linear acceleration capability and is typically quantified in terms of Gravitational Force (G).
  • Polling Rate: The polling rate of a mouse, measured in Hz, signifies the frequency at which your computer receives updates on the mouse’s actions. A higher polling rate leads to reduced delay.
  • Click Latency: Click latency is the term used to describe the delay between pressing a button on your mouse and the computer recognizing the input. A higher click latency can result in a subpar gaming experience due to the increased delay between the mouse and the system.
  • Programmable Buttons: Newer mice come with multiple buttons that offer the flexibility to be reprogrammed for various functions. Typically, this reprogramming is carried out using the accompanying software provided with the mouse.
  • Lift-Off Distance: The lift-off distance refers to the highest point at which you can raise your mouse before the sensor stops tracking its movement. A smaller lift-off distance is essential for achieving precise tracking.

How We Selected The Best Mouse For Minecraft

The mouse is an extremely critical and personalizable part of a gamer’s gear. You can almost consider the mouse an extension of your hand. Therefore, it is extremely important that the mouse is in tune with your hand at all times, both in terms of comfort and convenience. Every person’s perfect mouse will be different, so it is crucial to consider various factors when shopping for a mouse in order to get the ideal one for you.

The mouse sensor holds immense significance when it comes to gaming, particularly in a game like Minecraft. The precision and accuracy offered by a high-quality mouse sensor can make a world of difference in the gameplay experience. In Minecraft, where building, exploring, and combat are central elements, having precise control over your mouse sensitivity, movements, and actions is crucial. A superior optical mouse sensor ensures that every subtle movement and delicate adjustment of your hand translates into accurate cursor or crosshair movements on the screen.

Switches

Mouse switches are a vital component of mouse hardware, and they have a crucial role in Minecraft as well. These switches determine the responsiveness and tactile feedback of mouse clicks, directly impacting gameplay. In Minecraft, where quick reflexes and precise actions are necessary, the quality of mouse switches becomes paramount. Durable and responsive switches ensure rapid and accurate clicks, enabling seamless block placement, efficient combat, and swift item selection.

Clicking Techniques

Different clicking techniques, such as jitter clicking, butterfly clicking, and drag clicking, can have a significant impact on Minecraft gameplay. Opting for a lightweight mouse offers a range of advantages for gaming, particularly in Minecraft. In a game that requires precision, such as Minecraft, a lightweight mouse enables accurate and responsive movements, contributing to improved block placement, fluid combat, and precise targeting. Additionally, a lightweight mouse enhances agility, enabling players to execute quick movements and reactions, whether it’s performing intricate parkour or engaging in intense PvP battles.

Considering ergonomics when purchasing a gaming mouse for Minecraft is crucial for several reasons. An ergonomic design promotes comfort during long gaming sessions, reducing the risk of strain or discomfort in the hand, wrist, and arm.
