About RTX 3070 Ti

The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is placed between the GeForce RTX 3070 and the GeForce RTX 3080; it features a complete redesign over the GeForce RTX 3070 Founders Edition along with a decent performance increase.

The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti retail price is $599; with the outrageous price of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, it is obvious that more gamers will try to get their hands on the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. Much like the rest of the RTX 3000 cards, the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is based on the Ampere architecture, powered by the GA104 GPU. The same chip is also used for the GeForce RTX 3070.

However, Unlike the GeForce RTX 3070, the Ti variant of the card is equipped with 8 GB of GDDR6X memory, with a speed of 19 GBps; GDDR6X memory is also used in GeForce RTX 3080 and GeForce RTX 3090. The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti comes with a 256-bit memory bus with a speed of 608 GB/s. You also get 48 SMs, 48 RT cores, and 6144 Cuda cores. On average, the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti consumes 290 Watts of power and uses a 12-Pin power connector.

In terms of clock speeds, it offers a base clock speed of 1575 MHz and a Boost Clock Speed of 1765 MHz. It also has an FP32 performance of 21.7 TFLOPS and 42.4 RT TFLOPs for Ray Tracing. Furthermore, it features 96 Render Output Units (ROPs). Going over the specifications, it becomes clear that the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti provides slight improvements over the non-Ti variant of the card. The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti seems to target 1440p and 4k gaming, and it does a fairly decent job at it.

Our articles on the Best GeForce RTX 3070 and the Best GeForce RTX 3080 are also worth reading, considering that the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti fills the gap between these two GPUs. Power limit is also an important factor when you are looking for an RTX 3000 Series card since variants with a higher power limit can provide much higher clock speeds as long as they have sufficient cooling. That said, the reference card of the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti has a default power limit of 270W.

The recommended PSU for 3070 Ti is 750W; however, opting for a higher wattage PSU is always recommended if you intend on overclocking your card. The cooler design of the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti has received a complete overhaul compared to that of the GeForce RTX 3070; however, even with the newer cooler, bad thermal performance still seems to be an issue with the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti.

The ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 Ti OC comes with a factory overclock, providing boost clock speeds up to 1815 MHz.

In terms of the design, the ASUS TUF Gaming variant of the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti looks incredible. It comes in a triple-fan configuration which is already an improvement over the founders edition card.

It shares a similar look to the non-Ti version of the ASUS TUF Gaming Geforce RTX 3070. Moreover, the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 Ti OC makes use of Axial-tech fans, with the middle fan spinning in an alternate direction to reduce turbulence.

ASUS has kept the design very simple with the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3070, featuring minimal RGB lighting and a clean black aluminum backplate. A metal bracket can also be found on the edge of the card to avoid any GPU sagging.

Another thing worth pointing out is the power limit; the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 Ti has a max power limit of 350W, which is 60W higher than the founders edition card; the higher power limit coupled with the decent cooler provides a lot of overclocking headroom.

What Sets The Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Master Apart From Its Competitors?

Unlike most GeForce RTX 3070 Ti cards with five or four display outputs, Gigabyte has a total of six display outputs for the AORUS GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Master.
